Expert Answers about RV Ceiling Fans

  • Does the 42 RV Ceiling Fan with Light Kit - Oil Rubbed Bronze Have a Remote Control?
  • We don't currently carry any ceiling fans with a remote control, so the 42" RV Ceiling Fan with Light Kit - Oil Rubbed Bronze # 277-000115 will not have that feature. Depending on your trailer wiring, you may be able to use wall switches for the fan speed and light functions. If height is the issue, you can add extensions to the pull cords to make them height accessible.

  • Can the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner Be Installed Using Wiring from a Ceiling Fan
  • The Advent Air RV Air Conditioner part # ACM135CH is going to pull much more power than a ceiling fan would which means the circuit would most likely 1) not contain the correct gauge wire, 2) have the correct size circuit protection needed and 3) could be DC powered as opposed to the AC powered needed. Therefore, you'd need to run your own wires for the air conditioner unless you were replacing one that is already present.

  • Replacing RV Ceiling Fan with East Seventeen Fan
  • You might be able to wire up the East Seventeen fan, part # 344410TSDC36BNOKCY, without any additional wiring but it depends on your current fan. If the old one has the reverse switch on the wall switch then yes the wiring is all there. However, a lot of RV fans have the reverse switch on the fan and not on the wall. • Can Maxxair RV Roof Vent/ Fans MA00-03700 Be Mounted on a Wall
  • The MaxxAir # MA00-03700 roof vent/fan you mentioned can indeed be mounted to a wall instead of the ceiling/roof. This being said, the wall will either need to be at least 1 inch thick, or you'll need to add some furring around the rough opening to make the wall thickness at least 1 inch. Being mounted on the vertical could make the vent assembly more prone to water intrusion, so you'll want to do a good job sealing the flange of the vent to the side or the trailer. A vent install kit...
